The Household Hazardous Waste Site
2nd Saturday Collection is closed.
To best accommodate the residents we are scheduling appointments during the week for drop offs.
Please call (228) 896-0207 to make your appointment to properly dispose of your household hazardous waste.
1. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO EXIT YOUR VEHICLE.
2. ITEMS MUST BE IN THE TRUNK, TRUCK BED, OR TRAILER FOR EASY ACCESS, ITEMS CANNOT BE BAGGED, AND MUST BE VISIBLE MAKING SURE ONLY ITEMS LISTED BELOW ARE RECEIVED.
3. ONLY ITEMS LISTED WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Latex or oil based paint
Used cooking or automobile oil
Household, marine and car batteries
Flammable Liquids (such as gasoline)
White goods such as freezers and refrigerators
Fluorescent light bulbs
Tires (5 per visit - no more than 25 per household yearly- strictly enforced)
E-waste (electronics) such as computers, cell phones, telephones, televisions
DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING (they will not be accepted):
Items in a container larger than a 1 or 5 gallon, herbicides, pesticides, asbestos, rubber cement, roofing material, explosives, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, construction debris, furniture, or waste from businesses.

The Beautification Commission was created in 1988 by the Local and Private legislation, Senate Bill 1002, and established by the Harrison County Board of Supervisors to ensure a cooperative effort on behalf of all municipalities and the unincorporated area in Harrison County directed toward the general beautification and litter clean-up programs.
The Beautification Commission is a certified Keep America Beautiful Affiliate. Our programs align with Keep America Beautiful’s main areas of focus which are the following: Recycling and Litter, Waste Reduction and Beautification and Community Greening.
The Harrison County Beautification Commission is made up of 7 Commissioners, representing the 5 Board of Supervisor's voting districts, and 2 At-Large Commissioners.
