
HARRISON COUNTY BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSON
The Beautification Commission was created in 1988 by the Local and Private legislation, Senate Bill 1002, and established by the Harrison County Board of Supervisors to ensure a cooperative effort on behalf of all municipalities and the unincorporated area in Harrison County directed toward the general beautification and litter clean-up programs.
The Beautification Commission is a certified Keep America Beautiful Affiliate. Our programs align with Keep America Beautiful’s main areas of focus which are the following:
Recycling and Litter
Waste Reduction
Beautification
Community Greening
The Harrison County Beautification Commission is composed of
seven members, one for each Board of Supervisors and two appointed to serve at-large.
